When we dine out and leave stains on the napkins, they can easily be laundered out with regular laundry detergents. Laundry water isn't very effective on steak stains, however. This prohibits the stains from being washed out. Fairfax City dentist Fotolia_6869461_XS.jpg

The same method is used when dogs go to catch fugitives. You have them sniff the clothes or any other object that belongs to the criminal. Laundry detergents work to find a stain on clothing. This ends up in soapy water nibbling away at the stain. So the stain is washed off with water.

Fatty stains aren't hard to get rid of. We just need to soak the piece of clothing in tepid water with added soap. But read the laundry instruction tag at the outset to confirm that your clothing item won't be destroyed if you place it in warm water.

Some detergents even break down protein enzymes. These essentially get rid of microbes so that the clothing will come out smelling like it was just made yesterday. Microwaves can come in handy as well for sanitizing fabric and eliminating stains.

Stains on napkins are quickly spotted. What isn't as easy to discern is red wine, the other substance that causes stains.

Red wine is to our hearts what oil is to a car engine. The French have bought into this idea so much that they drink wine like water. They have a habit of eating ridiculous amounts of fat without unpleasant consequences, owing to the massive amounts of red wine they consume.

Taking in too much wine will not only spoil your liver, but also discolor your teeth. This is owing to the fact that red wine (and coffee) contain tannins. And we all will get these stains, no matter what our nationality.

Unfortunately, when we begin to see the stains, all our teeth have most likely been affected. Don't worry. We have Fairfax City dental veneers available in my office that will deal with any troublesome tooth stain. And you'll be especially glad to hear that you can enjoy reasonable amounts of red wine in your diet without losing sleep worrying about your teeth getting tarnished.
