Dental crowns are manufactured from a huge array of materials, such as porcelain, chromium, and others. I mix these materials together at some point while you are visiting my dental office in Fairfax City, so it is possible to see which hybrid would be best for your crown. In my Fairfax City office, we don't mass produce our crowns, for the reason that all my patients want something different. I carefully examine your tooth. Have the cusps or tips been worn down? Does it have a slight fragment, and how does its size compare to that of the whole tooth? Have you sustained a crack or break that cut clean across the tooth?

Next, I take a thorough inventory and use the tooth to get a representation of its shape. I immediately dispatch this data to a dental crafting technician, who produces dental crowns that fit unbelievably.

As we begin the process of afixing a dental crown made from costly materials, I may be required to do away with just a tad of the surface wrapping of the tooth, also known as enamel. Or, if you have chosen a non-metal Fairfax City dental crown, we may be required to sand the tooth in order to find the inner part of the tooth, which is the dentine.

Naturally, before I do anything, you and I will converse about the plusses and minuses. Then, based on my recommendations, the patient picks the path he wants to walk.

Before we give you a permanent crown, you will receive a temporary one. Doing this makes certain that you are not bothered by sensitive teeth. As soon as my technicians have completed the real crown, I will compare it to your other teeth for color and tone. Also, you will kindly be asked to act like you're chewing food, and that will show me immediately if the technician made the crown properly.

When we know that everything is perfect, then I will finish off the dental work with a flourish, and then you can let your smile loose on the world.
